Business
I currently work part time as a freelance IT consultant, primarily working on web site design and hosting and bespoke programming projects.
Research
I'm currently working towards a PhD at the University of Manchester on the topic of 'Automatically Identifying Social Change'. Outside of my PhD, my research interests include the role of demes in Classical Athens and the Late Roman Army (250-450 A.D.).
Writing
I also like to write when I get some spare time, from newsletter articles to books.
